As we discussed, tourism is an important part of the Vietnamese economy. In 2008, tourism generated $3 billion in revenue for Vietnam, which accounts for 4.2% of the nation’s GDP. The administration of tourism projects visitor numbers to rise to 6 million arrivals and $4 – $4.5 billlion in revenue in 2010.
